Having said that the office smelled of nothing but urine, and that can't be sanitary! I took my new cockatiel in to have his wings clipped, for safety reasons, and they butchered his wings to the point that now every time he starts to grow new feathers they break, bleed profusely, and cause him pain. I was not allowed back to the room when they took care of my pets, so I could not watch how they handled them, I could not see what kind of condition the rooms were in or even be sure it was the doctor herself that treated my animals and not some tech person working there. The one time they trimmed his nails, I noticed immediately one was bleeding & was informed when I asked that it was normal & ok.

Since then I've had to take him to another vet in Hattiesburg - who by the way was appalled at the state of his wings, and agreed that they had been clipped in such a way that was not proper. My poor little man has had to go to the vet here now more than 5 times in the last several months due to the condition his wings are in now; not to mention this is costing me money every time I have to take him in!

I've taken pets to other vets in Brookhaven but this by far my favorite and the one I would recommend.

I don't like to be negative, or leave bad remarks — this is actually the first time I've ever felt the need to say something about a place I've been. After calling and confirming which vet I had been to, I informed them of the issues I now face and didn't even receive 1 apology. I feel that a vet office should show remorse for an animal and it's issues, especially if those issues originated there.

I DID have a dog, a miniature schnauzer that I'd had for more than a decade, she was a healthy happy dog. She developed a nasty infection and had to be put down..due to her age and other factors out of my control. She was older, so I'm not saying they had anything to do with it, but the unsanitary condition of the office leads me to believe it could have very well been a factor of her developing such an infection. Not to mention the problem developed sometime after I'd been there. I didn't think that they could have been the source, but now I'm unsure. I loved that dog dearly, she was my baby; and my poor bird now suffers...

Let me say first the people were friendly when I visited, and seemed to know what they were talking about.
